    Lightbulb

I finally ordered the redheaded Gali Girl that I've been wanting. I also ordered an extra outfit because I didn't really like the shirt she came in.

    Here's her official website pic:

Cool! That's the one I got too. Actually, I was hoping someone would buy one of the other dolls so that I could add some "in real life" pictures of them to my Gali Girls profile on Just Magic. Let us know what you think of her when she arrives? Which extra outfit did you get? Did you get the book?

I also ordered the outfit that comes with the brunette doll. I like that one better than the pink one she comes in. I also ordered the blue shabbat outfit. I thought about ordering the Miriam's Journey outfit too but I didn't. The shabbat and Miriam's journey outfits are on sale now.

Good choices! I bought the Miriam's Journey outfit (and the book which I haven't read yet) but it's only so so. I don't think that's a very authentic style for 1910 (when the book is set) and the colors are pretty drab. Glad I got it on sale!

I forgot to mention that I have(and read) the Miriam's Journey book which I bought in person at a Jewish bookstore in Chicago. They had some dolls-everyone except the redhead! They also had Miriam redhead, which I know is the exact same doll with a different outfit, but they had the gall to charge $10 more for the Miriam doll because it comes with her book, even though it doesn't come with the Shabbat Kit or the birth cert. I really wanted the Shabbat kit and birth cert. so I just ordered it online instead.

Oh-I also e-mailed the Gali Girls company about the idea of making a school uniform for an Orthodox Jewish girl. We have a number of Orthodox Jewish schools around here and I recognize the uniforms-navy blue ankle length pleated skirt and striped long-sleeve oxford shirt. The outfits they have seem to be either for play or dress up but nothing in-between for school. They said it was a great idea! I can't wait to see if it comes out!
